You have questions

Honestly, it varies. I generally have a queue of paintings, so there may be a wait of a month or more. Sometimes I’m able to start custom work right away. Additionally, the length of time needed to complete a painting depends on the size and complexity of the subject. Once we get started, I can give you a better idea. And, of course, I’ll work with you to meet deadlines you may have. Feel free to use the contact form to inquire about current timelines.

I’m drawn to subjects that carry meaning—places, pets, and moments that feel personal. Rather than creating photo-realistic images, my goal is to paint a softer interpretation that evoke memories and feelings.
I’m open to a range of projects, but some subjects aren’t in my wheelhouse. I don’t currently take on landscapes or people portraits, and I always recommend working with an artist who specializes in those areas.

Prints are sold unframed so you can choose a frame that matches your style and space. Originals are also typically sold unframed unless otherwise noted in the listing.
-
See our framing size guide for details on paper size versus painting size and frame sizing.

For best longevity, frame your painting behind glass and avoid direct sunlight or areas with high humidity. I use only professional-grade watercolors with good to excellent lightfastness ratings to ensure your painting resists fading over time.

A commission is a custom piece created specifically for you based on your chosen subject—like your pet, home, or a meaningful subject. An original painting is something I've created on my own and is available for purchase as-is.
Commissions are personalized and one-of-a-kind, while regular paintings are typically available as originals or prints. As the artist, I’ll retain the copyright and reproduction rights (standard for the industry), but won’t make prints, cards, or anything else from it without your permission.

I want you to be happy with your order. If you're not satisfied, please contact me within 30 days at tamara@tamararoseart.com. Include your order number and which item(s) you'd like to return. After 30 days, I'm unable to offer refunds or exchanges.
Return Requirements
Items must be in the same condition you received them, in original packaging. If items are returned used or unsellable, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. If something arrived damaged, send photos and a brief explanation. I'll work with you to find the best solution, whether that's a replacement or refund.
Gift cards, sale items, and digital downloads cannot be returned or refunded.
Processing Your Return
Once I receive and inspect your return, I'll email you to confirm receipt and let you know if your refund is approved. If approved, your refund (minus any shipping costs or restocking fees) will be processed and credited to your original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank—usually within a few days but can take up to 10 days. If you haven't received your refund, first check your tracking number to confirm I received your package. Then contact your bank or credit card company about processing times. If you've done both and still haven't received your refund, reach out to me.
Exchanges
I don't offer exchanges, but I'll replace defective or damaged items. Contact me if you need a replacement.
