The Commission Process
Custom home/business portraits are a collaborative journey. Here is how we will work together to bring your vision to life.
1. Contact Me✉️
Reach out to start the conversation! Let me know your preferred painting size and a little bit about the home or business you’d like me to paint by using the “Let’s Get Started” button.
2. Send Photos📸
High-quality reference images are the key to a great portrait. Please provide:
One Main Photo: This should be the exact angle and framing you want for the painting.
Close-ups: For larger paintings, extra photos of unique details (like porch trim or garden features) help me capture the character of your home accurately.
Here are a few tips that make all the difference:
Shoot in the morning or evening — softer light and longer shadows create a more flattering look.
Capture your home at an angle rather than straight on to add depth and interest.
Choose a sunny day — sunlight brings out the true colors of your home and landscaping.
3. Deposit💳
To secure your spot on my calendar and begin the painting process, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Click 'Let's Get Started' to see pricing options and begin your request. Shipping costs are included in the pricing for U.S. delivery only.
4.Planning✏️
Once I have your photos, we’ll discuss your vision. I will create a rough sketch for your approval to ensure the composition is exactly what you’re looking for.
5. Painting🖌️
The magic happens here! I will send you periodic progress updates so you can see your portrait come to life.
6. Completion✨
Once finished, you will receive a photo of the finished piece. After final approval and payment, your custom painting will be ready for its new home!
Important Note on Rights While you own the beautiful physical painting, I retain the image rights. This means the artwork may not be reproduced or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
